AWI Board Endorses Recommendation of the Board Nomination Committee

The Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) board has accepted the recommendation of the Independent Board Nomination Committee (BNC).

Following interviews with five candidates, the independent BNC recommended the following candidates for shareholders’ consideration listed in alphabetical order.

  • Mr George Millington
  • Mr Neil Jackson
  • Ms Emma Weston

The Board has resolved that open proxies directed to the Chair will be voted in favour of those three candidates – Mr George Millington, Mr Neil Jackson and Ms Emma Weston.

AWI shareholders will be entitled to vote for any of the five director candidates who are standing for election to the board at the AGM.

The full list of nominations is:

  • Mr Neil Jackson
  • Mr Steve McGuire
  • Mr George Millington
  • Mr Edward Storey
  • Ms Emma Weston

The three candidates with the most votes from shareholders, in person and by proxy, will be elected to the three vacant positions.

AWI will hold its 2023 Annual General Meeting at 10am (AEST) on Friday 17th November at the Swissotel, Sydney 68 Market Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 and online.
