Woolmark Celebrates 60 Years of Excellence and Innovation

Woolmark proudly celebrates its 60th anniversary, marking six decades of unparalleled dedication to quality and innovation in the wool industry.

Established in 1964, the iconic Woolmark logo was introduced to help consumers easily identify superior woollen garments during a time when synthetic fibres were flooding the market post-World War II.

The Woolmark logo is one of the world’s most respected brands, recognized globally for its unique graphic design, has been hailed as one of the best logos of all time. Over the past 60 years, it has grown to become a symbol of quality and prestige, certifying over 5 billion products worldwide.

Throughout its illustrious history, Woolmark has forged iconic partnerships with some of the world's most renowned brands. From luxury fashion houses such as Vivienne Westwood, Armani and Karl Lagerfeld, to sports giants like Manchester United and adidas, and contemporary labels like Jacquemus, the Woolmark logo has graced products across the fashion and textile spectrum.

The Woolmark logo is owned by Australian woolgrowers and managed by Australian Wool Innovation (AWI).
